New goals for 2010
- I am going to grow my hair long again. (‘cos everyone is goin’ short)
- I’m gon dye it black.
- I’m gon practice my “face projection” (not like I’m gon need it) but y’know.. just so I won’t be awkward in pictures anymore
- I’m gon stand up straighter ‘cos my backs starting to hurt real bad from all that slouching.
It’s our happy day today! :)
I decided to create a kaleidoscope looking collage inspired by Nikki Sunga and then added a messy typography background. A few textures and Viola!
Summer, so far…
As some of you may know, I recently landed myself an internship at Summit Media’s Style Bible with my friend Nikki Sunga (Thanks, Dude!)
So far, work has been fun. Adobe Photoshopping images ‘til noon for their website, running random errands for Ms. Isha, accompanying Ms. Reggie for an interview during my first day, I love how I’m experiencing everything for the first time!
During my first day, Nikki was at a shoot while I was stuck in the office. Ms. Reggie asked me to come with her for an interview she was gon do @ Bonifacio High Street. Ecstatic to finally go on my first adventure, I immediately followed and before I knew it, we were there.
The first experience feeling was overwhelming, really. Without any experience whatsoever, I was clueless on what to do, I asked the most annoying questions and had the hardest time walking on heels (I was overdressed. Kind of.) We ate at the Stock Market, I mean, I ate.. Haha, (I hadn’t had breakfast nor lunch. It was 3pm) and the food was great! I was actually nervous for quite some time because their food is pricey and well, I wasn’t exactly sure if it was free, but it turned out to be! (Haha, I’m so lame)
The interview was about the organic brand Beauty Bar holds now called, Juice Beauty. About 80-95% organic, and unlike organic stuff here whose base is mostly water (which doesn’t really do anything, and water isn’t organic btw. Duh) Juice Beauty’s concoction is actually made from real fruit juices so it’s good for your skin, and good enough to eat! Haha, not really. The best part of the interview was the freebies I got! Being the Beauty Assistant for StyleBible seems like the best job ever! You always, always get free stuff. Haha, cool.
Second day was less complicated. Me and Nikki stayed @ the office the whole day and Adobe-d stuff. Now really, I am taking this opportunity to wear heels because for one, it is an office and you can’t really be too overdressed if you wear a pair. Two, I can only wear ‘em on special occasions and I wanna try wearing ‘em on a daily basis. Three, outfits are just better w/ heels. And four, I just really don’t wanna look short, haha. Edited stuff for “The Mall” and got our picture taken ‘cos Nikki and I accidentally wore matching outfits (Like we’re not used to it. Haha) Left the office @ 4 and tried to commute.. NEVER AGAIN. Downside of it all is the office’s so effin’ far from where I live, but whatever. All’s good.
Third day tomorrow! Wonder what’s in store for the twinterns next :)
